Applications:
Air Filtration Volatiles Organic (VOC's):
The GAC is used as a filter in the vent from the air source being treated. The carbon adsorbs the VOCs which are a common cause of odours.
Methyl Bromide (MeBr):The GAC is used as a filter in the vent from the fumigation system.
Waste Water Treatment:
Waste Water:The granular activated carbon is used as a filter in a vessel through which the water is pumped. The GAC is regularly backwashed and does not need to be replaced until it is exhausted which may take several years.
Stormwater:The granular activated carbon is used as part of a stormwater sand filter constructed specially for stormwater treatment through which the stormwater is flowing. The GAC will remove organic compounds present in the stormwater.
